Texas Collegiate League has released the 2024 Schedule

January 14, 2024  The Acadiana Cane Cutters are excited to get moving on their 14th season in the Texas Collegiate League.  The league has released the 2024 schedule which contains six teams playing a 48 game schedule.  The league begins play on May 30, 2024, and the playoffs conclude on August 3, 2024.

The six teams in the TCL consist of the Acadian Cane Cutters, Brazos Valley Bombers, Seguin River Monsters, Victoria Generals, the Baton Rouge Rougarou and a new franchise in Lake Charles.  The Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators will travel to Lafayette on June 11,2024 for their first game against the Cane Cutters. The even number of teams allows the league to have one common day off each week, which will be Mondays.

The season will be divided into two 24 game halves as the Cane Cutters complete the first half on June 26, 2024 and the season concludes on July 28, 2024.  The playoffs start immediately after the regular season concludes.  The TCL champion is crowned on August 3, 2024.

The Cane Cutters begin play on the road and do not make it home to Fabacher Field and the best fans in the TCL until June 4, 2024.  “We really have a tough start to the season, but it will be fun to see how we stack up the Texas division of the TCL.  We only play the Texas division 4 times each, so it is important that all of those games really count” says Richard Chalmers owner of the Cane Cutters.
