Perfect game scours the 2013 collegiate league stat books to pin the country’s best talent.

Each summer, the reputable baseball publication Perfect Game tours collegiate baseball circuits across the nation and leaves no stone unturned in their evaluation process to decide which athletes were the best-of-the-best this season. Of the 25 leagues they dive in on, Perfect Game hand picks who they consider the best professional prospects based on statistical performance and potential upside. After this observation, scout and league manager input, and other evaluation, Perfect Game came up with their own “2013 Summer League All-American Team”.

Based on his bevvy of accolades from this season, it comes as no surprise that the 2013 Texas Collegiate League Player of the Year, Mitchell Nau, would be named as one of the best catchers in the nation. Nau joins a rotation of just three total backstops saluted on the list.

“2. MITCHELL NAU, Acadiana/Texas Collegiate (Texas A&M/2014)
TCL 2012 all-star was even better in encore; hit .350-6-39, led league in batting, doubles (18), named league player of [the] year”
