Connor Barron (Southern Miss) started the game off with a boom as he hit a homerun in the bottom of the 1st to put Acadiana up 1-0. The Bombers took a 2-1 lead in the 3rd after an error, walk, single, and fielders’ choice. The Cane Cutters were able to tie it up at 2-2 in the bottom of the 3rd after Trey Hicks (Texas State) hit an RBI double. Bravos Valley pulled away from then on scoring 2 runs in the 5th and 2 runs in the 8th bringing us to the final score of 6-2.
