The 2016 Schedule Is Out!

 The Acadiana Cane Cutters baseball schedule is out for the 2016 season.

The Cane Cutters are co-owned by Richard and Sandi Chalmers as they begin their sixth season in the Texas Collegiate League (TCL). Acadiana will play 60 games in the TCL which will include 30 home games at Fabacher Field in Youngsville, Louisiana.

The Cutters will begin their 2016 campaign on May 27th at the Brazos Valley Bombers to begin a two-game series. The home opener will be on May 29th as they welcome in the Woodland Strykers. All games are scheduled for a 7 p.m. first pitch.

Acadiana will wrap up their regular season schedule on August 10th at home against the Strykers. The squad, led by new Head Coach Austin Flores will also play the Victoria Generals and the Texas Marshalls throughout the season as well.

The 2016 season consists of five Friday and Saturday home contests along with four Sunday night games at Fabacher Field.

The TCL playoffs will begin on August 13th and conclude with the championship series on August 16th.

The Cane Cutters finished the season last year at a record of 32-23 which earned themselves a playoff berth before falling to the Bombers in the TCL championship series.
