Cane Cutters adding three Cajuns to 2016 Squad

The Acadiana Cane Cutters are proud to welcome Jam Williams, Dylon Poncho, and Colton Lee to their 2016 squad. 

 

Jam Williams:

 

Williams, a sophomore at UL Lafayette, appeared in 25 games and started in seven during his freshman season in 2014. In his freshman year, Williams tallied two hits on 18 at-bat (.111) and accounted for 11 total runs. Williams was a three-year letter winner at Union Parish High School in Farmerville, Louisiana, but spent is sophomore year at DeSoto Central High School in Mississippi. Williams is majoring in biology.

 

Dylon Poncho:

Louisiana-Lafayette freshman Dylon Poncho led Kinder High School to the 2014 and 2015 state championships during his junior and senior year, and received Perfect Game All-America Honorable Mentions both years. Poncho, a four-year letter winner was named Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association Player of the Year in 2015 and was a part of the all-state team from 2013-2015 and the all-district team from 2012-2015. Poncho is studying sports management.

Colton Lee:

Colton Lee, a junior at UL Lafayette, spent his freshman season with Southwest Mississippi Community College and his sophomore season with Pearl River Community College. An infielder in high school, Lee only has two years of experience on the mound. In 19 games at PRCC, Lee allowed 32 hits and 19 runs in 36.1 innings pitched, with a 2.72 ERA. Lee is a general studies major.
