The Cane Cutters will be adding two juniors from Indiana State to play baseball in the summer. The two players are catcher Dom Bifano and 1B Dane Gielser. Both players are coach by Brent McNeil.

Bifano, a junior at Indiana State, was a four-year letter winner at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana, and a transfer from Monterey Peninsula College in Monterey, California. At MPC, Bifano posted a .220 batting average and an .385 on-base percentage. He also had a .986 fielding percentage, caught eight runners stealing and recorded 132 putouts.

Geisler, a redshirt sophomore for Indiana State, appeared in six games and made three starts last year for the Sycamores before his season ended with a knee injury against Youngstown State on March 8. Giesler attended Jasper High School in Jasper, Indiana, and played one season at Wabash Valley Community College in Carmel, Illinois. At Wabash Valley, Giesler scored 49 runs, hit six home runs, drove in 53 runs and had a batting average of .365.

Stay tuned for more 2016 additions to this team before the season kicks off Friday, May 27th as they'll take on the three-time defending champion Brazos Valley Bombers.
