The Cane Cutters losing streak extends to three following a 6-5 loss to the Brazos Valley Bombers on Monday.

South Alabama’s Dylan Hardy was the first Cane Cutter brought home, scoring an earned run in the first. Cobie Vance, of Alabama, brought in Matthew Guidry, of Southern Mississippi, for the second run of the inning.

Acadiana put up three more runs in the fifth and it looked as if the team had a pretty solid shot at breaking their losing streak.

But three runs in the seventh brought the Bombers to within two.

Brazos Valley was able to take the lead in the eighth with three more runs, and a quick ninth inning ended the game with the Bombers up by one in their comeback victory.
