Generals shutout Cane Cutters, 2-0

07/16/2016 9:20 PM - The Victoria Generals shutout the Acadiana Cane Cutters, 2-0 at Riverside Stadium in Victoria, Texas Saturday night. It was a pitcher's duel between Wilmer Nunez of the Cutters and Lee May Gonzalez of the Generals. The game stayed scoreless until the fourth inning when Pedro Barrios and Sam Mahofski both drove in runs to give Victoria a 2-0 lead. The lead would hold as Gonzalez tossed seven shutout innings on the night. Acadiana's pitching continues to thrive through this stretch as Zac Rogers from Alabama threw three shutout innings to give his team a chance to win tonight. The Cane Cutters' offense just couldn't get any runs across in the end. The two teams will wrap up their series tomorrow night at Riverside Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. The All-Star game will be at Fabacher Field this Tuesday night. Get your tickets now at canecuttersbaseball.com or call the box offices at (337) 451-6582.
