Bayou Blues blast Vermillion Reds, 9-307/19/2016 11:33 PM - The Bayou Blues cruised past the Vermillion Reds, 9-3 in the 2016 TCL All-Star Game in front of a packed house at Fabacher Field. The fun spirited, relaxing event turned into a special night for Cane Cutters' Trenton Buchhorn who went 3 for 5 with two RBI's on the night! Buchhorn was awarded the 2016 TCL MVP Award.
The rest of the game had the feel of an exhibition contest. The Bayou Blues jumped out in front 3-0 early in the second inning and never looked back.
There was over 15 MLB scouts in attendance which put some of the pressure on a few players, but most seemed to not let it get to them. Buchhorn certainly didn't with his MVP performance tonight.
The Acadiana Cane Cutters will return to action tomorrow night with a doubleheader against the Texas Marshals beginning at 5pm. |
