Youngsville, LA (February 15, 2018) The Cane Cutters have resigned former 2017 All-TCL First Team selection Brady Bell. Joining Brady from Nicholls State is Tucker Powell, Logan Alleman, and Kade Sonnier. 

INF Bell (RS junior) - In his 2017 campaign for the Cane Cutters Brady had an impressive .358 batting average, 49 hits, and 3 HRs. This was not only enough to land him a spot on the TCL 1st team roster but also earned him the league batting title. The Cane Cutters are excited to have Brady back in the lineup in 2018 for his third Summer with the team. 

LHP Powell (sophomore) - Powell is making his debut with the Colonels this Spring. Powell played his freshman year in his home state at Alabama Southern College. As a freshman, he had 9 appearances with 6 starts. He compiled a 1-0 record while fanning 8 batters in 12 1/3 innings pitched. Former high school 2A state champion. 

RHP Alleman (sophomore) - 6'7" righty out of Lockport, LA. Alleman made 4 appearances in his freshman season with the Colonels, averaging just under 2 strikeouts per inning pitched. 

OF Sonnier (freshman) - Carencro native and standout for Tuerlings Catholic. Sonnier won back to back 4A state champions with the Rebels. He was also named the 4-4A First Team All-District catcher his senior year. The Cane Cutters are always excited to give local guys an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the hometown fans.
