The Acadiana Cane Cutters are excited to announce the addition of James Ziegler III as the 2019 assistant coach. James started his baseball career in 2007 when he played for the Chandler National Little League in the Little League World Series. In 2009, he played for Team USA in the Pan-American games, where he won a Gold medal. In both the 2014 and 2015 seasons, the Cane Cutters were lucky to have James as one of our own players. He played as an outfielder and a first-basemen. In 2015, James was selected to play in the TCL All-Star Game.

After his time with the Cane Cutters, James moved on to Texas Wesleyan University where he spent one year playing for the NAIA College as an outfielder and a first-basemen, earning a Gold Glove. From 2013 to 2015, James attended Chandler Gilbert Community College where he spent two years playing as an outfielder and first-basemen, earning the 2015 NJCAA DII Southwest Marucci Elite Hitter.

James is currently the Head JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach for the Basha High School Bears. James also owns JZ3 Baseball LLC., which is a baseball company that helps children develop their hitting and fielding techniques. The Cane Cutters are excited to welcome James back onto our team. We would like to invite you to watch his debut at our home opener on May 31, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. against the Brazos Valley Bombers.

Come cheer on the Cane Cutters as they work to reach the TCL Championship for the 5th consecutive season.
