Cane Cutters in the All-Star Game
            The Cane Cutters will have seven players in the 2012 TCL All-Star game on Monday, July 9, at Riverside Stadium in Victoria, TX. They were second amongst teams with the most players in the all-star game.
            The Cane Cutters will have four starters for the game. Mitchell Nau will start at catcher, Adam Seal at first base, Isaac Rodriguez at shortstop and Gabe Woods at third base. They will also have one position player on the bench and two pitchers in the bullpen. Braxton Lee will be coming off the bench in the outfield and Ben Suit and Kelby Langston will be coming out of the bullpen.
            Nau is second amongst players in the TCL in batting average with a .351 average. He has 34 hits (tied for first in league) in 97 at-bats. He has 1 home run, 1 triple and 7 doubles. He has 19 runs scored and 20 RBIs. He has also drawn 15 walks and has 3 stolen bases. Nau has been rock solid as well behind the plate. He has 85 putouts and 10 assists. He has a perfect fielding percentage at 1.000.
            Seal has a batting average of .284. He has 1 home run and 5 doubles. He has 13 runs scored and 13 RBIs. He has drawn 15 walks. Rodriguez is batting .298 on the season. He has 6 doubles. He has scored 22 runs (tied for second in TCL) and driven in 10. He has walked 13 times and has 3 stolen bases. Woods is batting .322 where that puts him fifth in the TCL. He has 1 double. He has scored 9 runs and has 14 RBIs. He has walked 5 times and has 2 stolen bases.
            Lee will make a solid substitute coming off of the bench in the all-star game. He has a .271 batting average. He has 3 doubles. He has scored 20 runs and has 12 RBIs. He has walked 11 times and has stolen 15 bases (second in TCL).
            Suit and Langston will also be heading to the All-Star game in Victoria, TX. Langston has appeared in 11 games. He has pitched 26.2 innings and has an ERA of 1.35 (third in the TCL). He has a 2-1 record. He has allowed 25 hits, struck out 20 and walked 8. He also has 1 save. Suit had appeared in 6 games for the Cane Cutters. He has a 2-2 record and a 4.15 ERA. He has pitched 17.1 innings allowing 19 hits, recording 13 strikeouts and walking 7.
            The Cane Cutters are looking to have a successful All-Star game and hope to bring the South team a win.
