Lafayette, LA – The Acadiana Cane Cutters, a proud member of the Texas Collegiate League, are excited to announce their 2025 season schedule, which will kick off with an exciting road matchup on June 3rd against the Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators.

After a thrilling 2024 season that saw the Cane Cutters finish as the league’s runner-up for the coveted Haddock Trophy, the team is looking to build on that momentum and make another run for the championship this summer. Team owner Richard Chalmers shared his excitement for the upcoming season, stating, “We are building off of last year’s finish as the runner-up for the Haddock Trophy, and we’re ready to bring the heat in 2025.”

Head Coach Darrien Dukes also echoed the team’s enthusiasm for the upcoming season, saying, “The 2025 season begins when the schedule is announced, and we’re ready to get to work. Our players, staff, and fans are all eager to see what this season has in store, and we love a packed house!”  With 48 games on the slate—24 at home and 24 on the road—the Cane Cutters are poised to deliver an unforgettable summer of baseball.

Their Home Opener is set for June 5th at Fabacher Field against the Seguin River Monsters. Gates will open at 6:00 PM, with first pitch scheduled for 7:00 PM.   A highlight of the season will be the fierce rivalry with the Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators, known as “The Battle for 337.” This annual showdown between the two teams promises to be a fan-favorite once again, with the Cane Cutters looking to take the early lead in the 2025 rivalry.

Season Tickets Now Available

Season ticket sales for the 2025 season will open on December 2nd. Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early and enjoy all the action at Fabacher Field, the home of the Cane Cutters.
