On July 3, the Acadiana Cane Cutters lost against the Seguin River Monsters, 8-4.
After the Cutters rallied three runs in seven innings to tie the game 3-3, the River Monsters scored five more to take the lead and held Acdiana to one run in the ninth to win the game.
Then on Independence Day, Acadiana gets swept by Seguin 10-7.
The Cane Cutters kept the game close after being down by only two runs after the seventh, but in the next inning, the River Monsters extended their lead further by two more runs, 10-5.
The Acadiana Cane Cutters managed to score two runs in the ninth in hopes of rallying for more runs, but fell short by three and lost 10-7.
After the sweep, the Acadiana Cane Cutters stay on the road and start their series against the Victoria Generals at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow.
