After sweeping the Brazos Valley Bombers, the Cane Cutters travel to Victoria to take on the 2nd place Generals. This is the first time the Cutters traveled to Riverside Park for the 2015 season.

Hunter Medine (University of New Orleans) had the start tonight, going up against his counterpart James Swan.

Medine went 6 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits and striking out 3. Swan himself struggled on the mound giving up 5 runs on 7 hits in 5.2 innings pitched for the Generals.

The Cane Cutters started the scoring early as they put up 2 runs in the first. Daniel Keating (Southern Miss) and Chance Vincent (University of Alabama) came in to score off the bat of Connor Short (University of Alabama)

In a 2-1 ballgame going to the third, Keating would come into score again off of an Adam Yacek (University Miami Ohio) double.

With a 3-1 lead, Romeo Cortina would drive in Darrien Sims to make it 3-2 going to the 4th.

The Cane Cutter bats stayed hot and put up 2 more runs in the 4th. Credit Keating with a RBI as Kyle Knauth (Nicholls State) and Leiff Clarkson (Western Kentucky University) come into score.

With a 5-2 lead, the Generals tack on 2 more in the bottom of the 4th.

Going to the 7th, Knauth would come into score off of an error, thus making it 6-4.

Yacek would top off an explosive offensive game with a solo homerun in the 9th, and give the Cutters a 7-4 lead.

The Cane Cutters Bullpen was on point tonight as Wilmer Nunez (Ranger College), Dane Lovejoy (Navarro College), and Clay Brast (McNeese State University) each pitched a shutout inning of ball.

The Boys of Acadiana would extened their winning streak to 4 games with a final of 7-4 over the Generals.
