The Cane Cutters are on a roll as they won their 6th straight game, tonight against the East Texas Pumpjacks 2-1. The Cane Cutters move to 12-9 as the Pumpjacks fall to 11-10.

Russell Reynolds (LSU) made his debut in his second season for the Cane Cutters. He pitched well in 5.0 innings, in which he allowed 4 hits and had 1 strikeout.

The Cane Cutters struck first with a run in the bottom of the third inning. Chance Vincent (University of Alabama) would single after Zac Kutsulis (Notre Dame) would reach first. With 2 outs Adam Yacek (Miami of Ohio) would reach on an error and Zac Kutsulis would score the first run of the game. Kutsulis was 1-5 with a run scored.

The Pumpjacks would then tie the game in the top of the fifth inning. Tristan Clarke would hit a long fly ball to center to score Alex Bell on a sacrifice fly.

The Cane Cutters would go ahead in the bottom of the eighth inning. Joe Robbins (ULL) would walk as the leadoff batter. He would then steal a base to move to second. A pinch hitter in Jalen Haskins (Pearl River Community College) would then single to advance Robbins to third. Next up was Alex Tucker, 2-4 with an RBI, who would single to score Robbins.

The Cane Cutters would hold on as Wilmer Nunez (Ranger College), in his second appearance for the team, would get the save.
