Cane Cutters defeat Victoria Generals 6-2 in second game of series

The Cane Cutters defeated the Victoria Generals 6-2 in their second game of a double header to remain undefeated on the season.


The Cane Cutters took an early lead with two runs in the third, and added two more the very next inning. Acadiana added two more runs at the top of the fifth to extend the lead to six.


The Generals cut the lead to four with a home run by Nick Anderson with one man on base, but wouldn’t score for the remainder of the game.


Trenton Buchhorn led the team in hits with three on four at bat while garnering a team high two RBI’s. The Cane Cutters went through four pitchers on the night.


Acadiana will now get two days rest before taking on the Brazos Valley Bombers at Fabacher Field on June 4 at 7. P.m. Saturdays game will be the first of a 10-game stretch for the Cane Cutters.
