06/17/2016 9:33 PM -

The Texas Marshals snapped the Acadiana Cane Cutters six-game winning streak tonight with a 4-1 score.

The Cane Cutters dropped to 11-3 on the season and suffered their first home loss of the season.

Both teams went through two pitchers on the night. For the Cane Cutters, Hunter Speers, out of Nicholls State, started things off, while J.C. Keys of Southern Mississippi took over in the middle of the fifth inning. Both pitchers allowed two runs on the night.

The Marshals were first on the board with a run in the second inning, but were matched by the Cane Cutters with a run in the third.

Acadiana's offense halted, and wasn’t able to score again for the remainder of the game.

The Cane Cutters will have a chance to get to 12 wins tomorrow night when they take on the Woodland Strykers at Fabacher Field at 7 p.m. The Cane Cutters are 4-0 so far this summer against the Strykers.
