Cane Cutters Win Game 1

Cane Cutters Begin 2012 Season with a Hard Fought Win
            The Cane Cutters got off to a strong start in their season opener with the 11-9 win against the Alexandria Aces. Kaleb Manual (1-0), got the win for the Cane Cutters with five innings pitched, allowing seven runs (one earned) on eight hits and four walks. Manual also had five strikeouts. Kelby Langston came in relief for Manual and pitched three strong innings, allowing two runs on three hits with two strikeouts. Merrick Ardoin came in the ninth inning, allowing one hit and two walks to record his first save.
            The Cane Cutters were also able to come through with their bats. They were led by Ladd Rhodes (2-4, RBI), Brook Boudreaux (2-4, 3 runs), and Tyler Kamtz (1-2, 3 RBIs, 2 walks).
            The Cane Cutters look to grab another win tonight at Fabacher Field where they will face the Victoria Generals (1-0) at 7:05 pm. Come out to the game and bring your friends and family to enjoy some great baseball.
