07/20/2016 10:43 PM -

The Acadiana Cane Cutters swept a doubleheader over the Texas Marshals winning 5-1 in game 1 and 4-0 in game 2.

In Game 1, Trenton Buchhorn from UT-Tyler led the way with his hot bat as he was 2 for 3 with two RBI's on the night.

Hunter Speer from Nichols State tossed six shutout innings to get the win.

In Game 2, Trey Jimmerson from Texas A&M led the offense with two hits and two RBI's and that was all Brian Browning from Ole Miss needed to work with.

Browning was on fire and he tossed six shutout innings himself while only allowing two hits on the night.

The Cutters will go for the sweep tomorrow night against the Marshals as it's Thirsty Thursday and Bud and Bud Lights will only be a $1.00 all night long. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm, gates open at 6.
