07/26/2016 11:25 PM - John Badgett dominated to help lead the Cane Cutters to a 5-2 victory over the Generals on a rare cool night at Fabacher Field. Acadiana got on the board first in the bottom of the third when Cobie Vance from Alabama rifled a two-run RBI single to center to give the Cutters an early 2-0 lead. Dylan Hardy from South Alabama scored on a wild pitch in the fourth inning to extend the Cutters' lead to 3-0. The Cutters plated two more runs on a throwing error from Levi Zents of the Generals giving Acadiana a 5-1 lead in the 8th inning. Cane Cutters starter and Southeastern commit John Badget got the win as he tossed six shutout innings while giving up four hits and striking out eight batters on the night. Cane Cutters and Victoria Generals will wrap up their series tomorrow night at Fabacher Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
