2024 Pre-Season Press Release

Cane Cutters Baseball is Back!
03/19/2024 12:00 PM -

The Acadiana Cane Cutters are gearing up for the 2024 season, and will look to win their 2nd Texas Collegiate League championship in franchise history. Before the Cane Cutters take over Fabacher Field this summer, here are some things you need to know.

Looking to bounce back

Last season, The Cane Cutters entered the 2023 campaign as reigning champions, and it showed as they were first in the TCL through the first eight games of the season. Unfortunately, the Cane Cutters would wind up missing the playoffs, but the 2022 TCL champions are out for revenge. Head Coach Darien Dukes returns for his fourth season with the team, and looks to instill a championship mentality in his team. Some familiar faces will also be returning for the Cane Cutters, which includes outfielder Emil Estrella, and pitchers Gavin LeBlanc, Miles Justin, J.C Acosta, Trent Hillen, and Troy Morel.

Fan Promotions

When you attend a game at Fabacher Field this summer, there will be many activities to take part in. Each day of the week has its own promotion which includes:

Taco Tuesday

Hump Day Hot dogs ($2 Hot Dogs)

Thirsty Thursday (2 for 1 draft beer)

Slippery Saturday (FREE Waterslide for the kids from 6-7 PM)

Kids Sunday Funday (FREE fun jumps for all kids)

There will also be plenty of opportunities for the kids to get involved which includes the Field of Dreams experience where kids get to warm up and take the field with the players during pre-game introductions and go into the dugout before the game, as well as a discount in the Kids Zone. Kids can also hold their birthday party at Fabacher field which includes 10 tickets, a happy birthday announcement, and a one on one with our mascot Eddy (birthday cake is included).
