Both starting pitchers, Bryson Walker of the Bombers and Konnor Graham of the Cane Cutters, did not last long as bolts of lightning through the sky suspended the game. The game picked up the following day right where it left off in the bottom of the 2nd inning, and the Cane Cutters got the offense rolling out of the gate off Bombers pitcher Trenton Barnes. They delivered with three straight doubles to start the scoring, getting out to the early 3-0 advantage.
