On Sunday, Conner Stely led Parker Gwyn to score with a single to put the first run on the board.

In the third inning, Peyton Woods hit his third home run of the season when the Cutters rallied in two more runs to be ahead 4-0.

The Gumbeaux Gators took the lead back in the sixth after they rallied with five runs, but the Cane Cutters managed to tie the game after Christian Hallmark ran home off a wild pitch.

Acadiana took the lead after Hallmark made his way to third from an error by the pitcher, while Jake Messina scored to take the lead. Hallmark would score the final run for the Cane Cutters after Jake Farris sent him home with a single.

For the Cane Cutters, Hudson Spangler kept Lake Charles from scoring for five innings straight and finished his time on the mound with six strikeouts.

The Acadiana Cane Cutters will head back home to take on the Seguin River Monsters for a mid-week series at Fabacher Field. The first pitch will be thrown at 7:00 p.m. and will be live streamed on TCL TV.
