Cane Cutters Get the Win Against the RougarouLafayette, La. – The Acadiana Cane Cutters win at home against the Baton Rouge Rougarou 6-3 to start their 2-game series. The Cutters registered their one and only hit in the 8th inning but were still able to pull off the victory. The Cane Cutter’s batters struggled for most of the game as they only registered one hit but thanks to 9 walks, they were able to put 6 runs on the board. Bobby Lada, (UL) registered the only hit for the Cutters in the 8th inning and he also drove in two runners on the night as well. River Orsak (Lamar) and JuJuan Franklin (Louisiana Christian University) also contributed on the night with both batters driving in a run for the Cutters. The Cane Cutters’ pitches put together an all-around impressive performance besides the 9th innings, as they allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in the ballgame. Will Tynes, (Southern Mississippi) was the starting pitcher on the night and pitched a brilliant game. He only allowed 3 hits and recorded 3 strikeouts while not giving up a run in 5 innings pitched. John Gray, (University of New Orleans) came into the game in relief in the 6th inning and struck out a team high 8 batters in 3.2 innings pitched!
